Reruns and revisions

Open Portfolios → Simulations and select a saved portfolio. You can analyze a revised configuration using the existing backtests, or rerun the component strategies to produce new backtest data.

Edit and analyze a configuration

Use Edit from the Overview action menu, then update the Configuration. For example, change the weights, rebalance schedule, or delta-hedging settings.

1. Change one setting you want to investigate.
2. Select Analyze changes to calculate a preview from the existing component data.
3. Review the results.
4. Select Save changes to keep the reviewed result.

If you change the configuration again, the preview no longer matches it. Analyze the updated setup before saving. Use Return to latest result to go back to the saved result; the page prompts you before discarding pending changes when needed.

Rerun the component strategies

A rerun executes every component strategy again and reconstructs the portfolio from the new results. Use it to extend the research period or refresh the backtests with the current simulator.

1. Save or discard pending edits and previews.
2. On Overview, choose Rerun.
3. Set Start date and End date. Every component strategy runs over exactly this range.
4. Select Start rerun, then follow progress in Run History.

The chosen dates can extend beyond the current component runs' coverage. For inverse-volatility allocation, the opening lookback period is still warm-up and is excluded from the resulting portfolio analysis. Include enough history for both warm-up and the period you want to study.

Choose the date range before starting a rerun of all component strategies.

Run History records the initial analysis and a later configuration revision, with the status of each component.

If a rerun fails

Open Run History and inspect the failed run and its component statuses. When Retry is offered, it can reuse eligible work from the previous attempt instead of repeating every completed component. If MesoSim has been updated since that attempt, start a new rerun.

While a rerun is running or after it fails, the prior successful result can remain on screen. Read the result label to distinguish that earlier result from the current attempt.

Inspect saved revisions

The Revision selector on Overview lets you inspect previous saved results. Historical revisions are read-only and show the configuration associated with that result.

Use Return to latest result before continuing work on the current portfolio. This makes it possible to compare an earlier experiment with the latest saved analysis without confusing either with a temporary preview.

The original Monday revision is read-only. Return to latest result resumes work on the current portfolio.

Delete a portfolio

Delete removes the portfolio from use, disables its shared link, and makes its run history inaccessible. Review the confirmation before deleting a portfolio you may want to revisit.
