Export to OptionNet Explorer

Export your MesoSim backtest's trades to OptionNet Explorer for further analysis. MesoSim produces a .one.csv file that you can import using OptionNet's thinkorswim format.

Download the export

  1. Open a completed run from MesoSim Backtests.
  2. Open the action menu beside Clone and select Export to ONE.
  3. Save the downloaded .one.csv file.

See Accounts and Access for export availability and Backtest Results for the other download options.

Import into OptionNet Explorer

  1. Open Import in OptionNet Explorer.
  2. Select thinkorswim as the format.
  3. Set Time Zone to UTC.
  4. Choose the destination account and your .one.csv file, then click Next.
Use UTC

MesoSim converts the exported execution times to UTC. Select UTC in the import wizard so OptionNet interprets those timestamps correctly.

MesoSim labels each exported row with its position identifier, such as T-00001. In OptionNet's linking window, these labels appear in the Type column. Group rows with the same identifier, including the entry, adjustment, and closing trades for that position.

  1. Select the rows for one identifier. Use Shift + click for a contiguous range or Ctrl + click for individual rows.
  2. Click Link or press F5, then complete the position details.
  3. Repeat for the remaining positions.
  4. Click Next to finish importing. Allow time for OptionNet to download the historical data it needs.

See OptionNet's import guide for details of the linking workflow.

Optional import automation

Ron Bertino of Trading Dominion created the mesosim-one-import AutoHotkey script to automate importing MesoSim trades into OptionNet. Its README links to setup and troubleshooting videos.
